Here are more than 25 free printable homophones worksheets for you to use. These are great for all kinds of people, such as:
- English teachers
- ESL tutors
- Homeschooling parents
- Students who want to learn more or test themselves
Each worksheet has 10 sentences with homophones missing; you can then quiz students by having them place the homophones in the correct spaces.
There are also three versions of each worksheet – easy, intermediate and hard. Here’s an explanation of the differences between each difficulty level:
- Easy – The correct homophones are listed at the end of each sentence, so kids or adult students only have to work out where each one should be placed within the sentence
- Intermediate – All of the homophones are listed in a random order at the bottom of the page, so they have to work out which sentence each set should be used in and where each word should be placed within the sentence
- Hard – None of the homophones are listed, so they have to use the context of each sentence to work out which homophones should go in the spaces
